The Pakistan Association of Greater Portland is a non-political, non-sectarian, cultural and educational organization of Pakistanis living in Greater Portland area. We serve our community by arranging cultural exhibitions and festivals to introduce and demonstrate our heritage to our youth, as well as to the wider American community. Our aim is as follows:
- To provide a platform that represents Pakistani community's perspective on various issues, and also provides a better interaction and understanding between Pakistanis and other American communities;
- create a network to locate business opportunities for community members;
- Educate the community on social and economic issues faced by Pakistanis and help setup Big Brother, Big Sister, and Sponsor a child programs with reputable Pakistani and American NGOs for the purpose of providing economic, educational, and social services to our people;
- To promote a better image of Pakistan locally and nationally.
- To lend support to the people of Pakistan in their struggle for justice and liberty.
PAGP is strictly a non-profit tax exempt social welfare organization.
